Pressure, temperature and metamorphic zonation studies of pelitic schists in the Merrimack Synclinorium, south-central New Hampshire

C. Page Chamberlain, and J. B. Lyons

Dartmouth Coll., Dep. Earth Sci., Hanover, NH, United States

Metamorphic isograds are divided into five high-grade zones. Biotite-garnet geothermometry and plagioclase composition studies confirm the zonal pattern deduced from the mineralogical relations. Three stages of Acadian metamorphism.--Modified journal abstract.
